Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, North Korea, all the dictators and all the terrorists in the world must love Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh and all the commentators at Fox News. When they lie so much and characterize dissent as treasonous and undermine democracy and democratic processes for their own personal gain, they make democracy look bad. These right-wing, extremist, corporate-controlled commentators show the weaknesses of their arguments by how much lying and distortion they have to use in order to "win" in these discussions. But nobody wins.
The irony, of course, is that those of us who are fighting back, trying to expose them as lying scum, and trying to protect the First Amendment and the other freedoms that they say we hate, we are also fighting for them, for their right to be hate-filled, lying bigots, and we are also fighting to keep democracy strong for the benefit of every American and, in the long run, for the benefit of all people. And that includes the lying pieces of shit that are doing everything they can to weaken America by scaring dissenters. If they succeed, it will be a model for every would-be dictator on Earth that scare tactics and lying and distortion will work, that American democracy is a joke, and that American freedoms are only available to the corporations that own the mainstream media.
